Ruby's Marquees. Luxury marquee hire across London and the South East since 1988. Weddings, celebrations, corporate events and everything in between.

Framed and Clearspan Marquee Hire

The structure at the heart of every Ruby’s Marquees installation, available lined or unlined depending on the look you want.

A clearspan marquee, also called a frame marquee, uses an external frame instead of internal poles, so you get a fully open floor plan with nothing breaking up your layout.

Every marquee we build starts with the same solid frame structure, strong and weatherproof, then you choose the finish: lined for a fully dressed interior, or unlined for a cleaner, more open feel. Both options work beautifully, and which one suits your event depends on the atmosphere you’re going for.

Marquee Sizes and Pricing at a Glance

We build five widths of clearspan marquee, each available in a range of lengths to suit your guest numbers. Every price shown includes lighting.

Every size in between is available too, and lining is always shown as its own line item, so you can see exactly what it adds to the base marquee price.

What Size Marquee Do You Need?

As a general rule, we recommend the smallest marquee that comfortably fits your guest numbers, then leave room to size up if you need extra space for a dance floor, bar, or catering area.

Guests (seated) Guests (buffet/standing) Recommended size Unlined from
Up to 24 Up to 50 4.5m x 6m £605
Up to 48 Up to 90 4.5m x 12m £850
Up to 100 Up to 150 6m x 18m £1,325
Up to 150 Up to 225 9m x 18m £1,655
Up to 200 Up to 300 9m x 24m £2,040
Up to 300 Up to 450 12m x 27m £2,985
Up to 400 Up to 600 12m x 36m £3,880
Up to 480 Up to 690 15m x 33m £4,945

Need extra space for a dance floor, bar, or catering area? We’d usually recommend sizing up from these figures; our team can confirm the right size for your exact layout.

Lined Marquees

A lined marquee has a fitted interior fabric ceiling and wall lining, which softens the structure and gives the space a finished, elegant feel. It’s the classic choice for weddings and formal events, and it works especially well with chandeliers, drapes, and fuller styling.

Best suited to:

  • Weddings and formal celebrations
  • Events where the marquee interior is the main visual backdrop
  • Guests spending most of the evening inside the marquee

02.

Unlined Marquees

An unlined marquee keeps the frame and roof structure visible, giving a more open, industrial-style space. It’s a popular choice for parties, festivals, and events where the marquee is more of a functional backdrop than the main feature, and it’s easy to dress up with your own styling if you want to add more personality.

Best suited to:

  • Parties, festivals, and casual celebrations
  • Corporate events and exhibitions
  • Events where budget is being prioritised for catering, entertainment or styling elsewhere

Lined or Unlined: What’s the Difference?

Lined Unlined
Interior finish Fitted fabric ceiling and walls Visible frame structure
Best for Weddings, formal events Parties, corporate, festivals
Styling Works well with drapes, chandeliers, fuller decor Easy to dress up or keep simple
Price Marquee price plus a lining cost Marquee price only

On a 9m x 15m marquee, the base marquee hire is £1,600, with lining adding £200 to the total, giving a lined price of £1,800. Lighting is priced and shown separately in every quote.

Not Sure Which to Choose?

If you’re planning a wedding or want your marquee to feel like part of the occasion, lined is usually the better fit. If you’re hosting a party, festival, or corporate event where the marquee is more of a backdrop, unlined often works just as well and can free up budget for other things.
